Greetings to you nurses, doctors, and all members of the medical community who, in these days of collective mourning, have rushed to care for the wounded with sincerity, dedication, courage, long sleepless hours, and exhausting round-the-clock work — whether openly in hospitals or secretly in people’s homes.
The repressors committed unspeakable and horrific crimes even inside hospitals. They abducted the wounded, and according to reports, even delivered execution shots to some of them. They prevented medical treatment and crossed every possible boundary of cruelty and inhumanity. Yet you, the devoted medical staff, despite repression and the securitisation of hospitals, resisted them wherever and however you could.
They cut the internet and phone lines so they could commit their crimes in secrecy. They threatened you so that the evidence of their atrocities would be seen and heard less. But you courageously became witnesses to, and narrators of, the regime’s crimes. Some of you were arrested and detained simply for trying to save the wounded. Still, despite minimal resources, you continue to treat the injured.
You, the honourable medical community, deserve the warm and heartfelt support not only of the wounded, but of the entire population. You are among the prides of the risen society of Iran, and you truly hold a place in the heart of a nation of 90 million.
At the Worker-communist Party of Iran, we firmly clasp each and every one of your hands. We have no doubt that the killers of the people — from Khamenei to every official, commander, and perpetrator who ordered or carried out these great crimes — will, in the near future, be forced to answer for every one of their crimes before the people’s courts.
