On 27th November 2018, contract workers of the municipality of Tehran, Iran, held an assembly to protest non-payment of their wages.
The workers gathered in front of the Islamic Council building and demanded payment of their wages.
Municipality workers in some other provinces as well as many workers of other industries in Iran suffer from non-payment of wages that have forced many into destitution and sparked many strikes and protests.
