On 23rd December 2018, workers of a cement factory in Masjed Solyeman in Khuzestan province, Iran held an assembly to protest over unpaid wages and insurance.
Around 100 workers who haven’t been paid for several months gathered in the factory to protest.
On top of high prices and inflation, the non-payment of wages has put many workers and their families under immense pressure. Workers of different industries and institutions in Iran have been protesting over non-payment of wages and the poverty that has been imposed on them.
