Families of detained steelworkers: “Jailed workers must be freed”

On 24^th December 2018, families of the arrested steelworkers of the National Steel Group of Ahvaz in Khuzestan province, Iran, protested in front of the provincial governor’s office in Ahvaz.

“Jailed workers must be freed”, “Father, I’m waiting for you”, “Free my father”, and “Free my son” were written on placards that the families of the workers held up.

So far 6 workers have been released on bail, but 26 are still in custody. The steelworkers demand the immediate and unconditional release of all arrested workers and have pledged to restart their protests if all of them are not released.
