The women and men of Iran have risen up to put an end to the regime of gender apartheid in Iran, just as the people of South Africa put an end to the regime of racial apartheid. In the 1980s you took to the streets of many cities in Europe, the USA and elsewhere, organised big marches, meetings and demonstrations in support of the people of South Africa, and played a key role in putting an end to a shameful mark in the history of humankind. It is now time to play your role in solidarity with the women and men of Iran to put an end to another shameful mark in human history, namely the regime of gender apartheid in Iran.
The people of Iran have come out in protest at the murder of Mahsa, and against the misogynistic Islamic Republic. It is time that you once again take to the streets, through your marches, gatherings and meetings in the cities of Europe, America and everywhere, in support of the fight of the women and men of Iran for getting rid of one of the most barbaric dictatorships that the world has ever seen. This global movement of solidarity will be an important support for the people of Iran, which will in turn force governments to boycott the misogynistic Islamic regime. This international movement of solidarity will play an important role in putting an end to the regime of apartheid in Iran.
Women in Iran have been living under an indescribable gender apartheid for 43 years, but have also heroically fought it. Now they expect you to stand up in solidarity with them, just as you did in solidarity with the people of South Africa, so together we can put an end to the regime of apartheid in Iran.
