The world has had enough time to make women and men equal, but it hasn’t. We have waited patiently, in fact thousands and thousands of years but today, inequality and misogyny still spread their poisonous web across the world.
It doesn’t take thousands, not even hundreds of years to actually implement full equality but despite women rising and rising, we are still nowhere near something that women could consider acceptable.
Let’s not make the mistake of assuming that patriarchy is the natural order of humanity, it isn’t, but even Sisyphus’ work seems often more hopeful than our task.
There is no more time to waste, hoping that the weight we carry will not crush us, instead, we will crush that which stands in the way: shall we continue to follow the soothing sound of hollow assurances or shall we tread a solid path of deeds?
