On 8th March, International Women’s Day: Islamists’ hands off the laws and state!

In Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Afghanistan and everywhere

Islamists’ hands off the laws and state!

In Tunisia, Egypt, Iran and everywhere the revolution for ‘bread, freedom and human dignity’ is tied to the fight for the liberation of women.  In these revolutions, women stand at the forefront of the fight against dictatorship.  And the struggle for women’s equality is an important element in the progress of these revolutions.

8th March this year we express our revulsion at the Islamic states and the misogynist Islamic laws in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and everywhere.  Let us turn this year’s International Women’s Day into a powerful fight against the encroachment of Islamic reaction on the lives of women.

Gender Apartheid and misogynist medieval Sharia laws have no place in a civilised world.
