Striking workers in Zanjan province, Iran, force employer to re-employ 19 expelled workers

 

On 27th  November 2018, workers of Jahan Vegetable Oil corporation in Zanjan province, Iran, halted their 12-day long strike.

After 12 days of strike, the employer was forced to pay the unpaid wages of the workers, re-employ the 19 expelled workers and promised to make sure that the production lines are not shut.

The workers accepted to hold their strike and wait for the employer to fulfil the promises. The workers made it clear that they will resume the strike if the employer fails to fulfil the promises.
