“Be afraid, we are all united!” 3000 retirees chant in front of Iranian parliament

On 18^th December 2018, over 3000 retirees protested in front of the Iranian Majles (parliament) as the authorities failed to meet their demands and to answer them.

“From Ahvaz to Tehran, working people are in prison”, “Imprisoned teachers must be freed!”, “Steelworkers must be freed!” and “Be afraid, we are all united!” retirees from different industries and parts of Iran chanted at the parliament. It showed the solidarity amongst protesters in Iran.

In the protest, the retirees raised their objection to poverty, oppression, injustice, lack of free healthcare and education, and corruption of the system and the government.

A group of retirees in Mashahd in Korasan province also held an assembly and expressed their demands and objections.
