Islamic Republic of Iran, the regime of terror, has no place in the world community!
On 30th October 2018, the Danish government foiled a terrorist plot by the Islamic regime of Iran to assassinate Habib Jabr, an Iranian activist and a citizen of Denmark. The Danish government held the Iranian Intelligence Services responsible for the planned attack and recalled its ambassador from Iran.
Other Scandinavian governments said that they take the matter very seriously; the European Union condemned the attempt by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Islamic regime of Iran established its place in the international community through terror and supporting terrorism after the brutal oppression of the 1979 revolution. The expansion of terror has not stopped in the past 40 years, as the dictatorship has no other means of staying in power and to secure its place in the international community.
Hostage taking, Argentina bombing, Thailand bombings, assassinations of members of the Iranian opposition in European countries, formation and arming of Hamas and Hezbollah, a bomb-making factory in Bahrain, the attack in New Dehli, formation and arming of Shi’ite militia in Iraq, terrorising people of Syria, terrorism in Kenya, and ties with AL-Qaeda are only a glimpse of the extent of the terror by the Islamic Republic of Iran. However, the people of Iran have endured the worst of the Islamic regime and its terror: mass graves of dissidents, assassination of political activists, imprisonment of workers, execution of secular activists, terrorising women who disobey the rules of sexual apartheid, murder of environmental activists, imprisonment and flogging of children’s rights activists, the killing of student activists – the endless list of crimes by the Islamic Republic of Iran is known to the world.
The Islamic regime has imposed its ways on world politics and today we see the impact of these politics and practices on the world and mainly in the West.
Negotiations, patiently waiting for it to reform and diplomatic relations with the regime of terror, have never been of any use to the victims, which include the Western societies that have been affected in different ways by the Islamic terrorism of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The recent mass protests and strikes have brought the regime to the point of desperation and such terrors will not save the regime.
The Islamic regime’s hope for survival is the acquiescence of Western governments to its terror. They hope for another period of silence from the West about its activities and crimes, including the brutal repression of the people of Iran who are fighting with the regime for a humane rule.
The Western governments must end their silence about the actions and politics of the Islamic Republic of Iran and let the people know about the criminal actions of the regime in their societies in the past four decades.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has no place in the international community; it doesn’t represent the freedom-loving people of Iran who are determined to end the rule of terror. The people of Iran who have stood firm in their inspiring battle against one of the most brutal regimes of our time, deserve all the support and solidarity they can get.
We call on all progressive political parties, labour organisations, and all the human rights organisations and activists to demand the immediate closure of the embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, political sanctions against the regime, its expulsion from international organisations such as ILO, and ending diplomatic relations with the regime.
