On 2nd February 2019, workers of Kayson Engineering and Construction, a company in charge of urban trains in Ahvaz, held their 18th assembly to protest against non-payment of their wages.
180 workers of the Ahvaz Metro project started their protests over unpaid wages 18 months ago but the employers refuse to pay saying that the company is facing financial issues.
The workers along with their families have been protesting as the situation has pushed them into poverty.
