Iran: Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, children’s and workers’ rights activist, has been released on bail

We are pleased to report that Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, the well-known children’s and workers’ right activist, has been released on bail.

Behnam was arrested for helping the victims of the Sarpol-e Zohab earthquake and reporting on their situation on social media. After spending 35 days in solitary confinement he was released on 4^th March 2019.

On 24^th February 2019, Behnam was tried for “disrupting public order and national security” in branch 26 of the Islamic Revolutionary Court. The outcome of the trial has not been announced yet.
