Sepideh Gholiyan, 23, activist and university student, was arrested on 18th November 2018 during the sugar cane workers’ strike in Haft Tapeh and is still in custody.
Sepideh is from Ahwaz in Khuzestan province, Iran. She was beaten in the Shush detention centre and later moved to Ahwaz. In a phone conversation with her family on 20th November she said that she is going to be in custody for one month, although she hasn’t been given formal notification.
