Norway’s LGBTQ+ community victim of Islamic terrorism

In the early hours of Saturday morning, the Norwegian capital, Oslo, witnessed another act of terrorism by Islamic terrorists. The attack came on the eve of Norway’s annual Pride celebrations when a gunman started shooting at people outside a gay bar. According to witnesses, the attacker, who is known to be a member of an Islamic extremist group, carried out the attack while shouting “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great). Two people were killed and 21 people have been injured, with some in a critical condition.

The Scandinavian Committee of the Worker-communist Party of Iran strongly condemns this vicious attack against Norway’s LGBTQ+ community and sends its deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims. The perpetrator, who is originally from Iran, is believed to be connected to the Islamic regime of Iran.

The hostility of the Islamists towards gay people is well known. In Iran, under the Islamic Republic, members of the LGBTQ+ community are violently persecuted, including by execution for being gay. The hate propaganda of the ayatollahs and Islamists over the years against gay people, women, freedoms and civilised norms is the main factor cultivating terrorists and murderers in Western societies.

The Islamic terrorist act in Oslo and the cold-blooded killing and injuring of unsuspecting, innocent people is another warning that the fight against political Islam must be taken seriously and that any compromise with these forces – be they Islamic states or Islamic associations and centres in the heart of Western societies – and their appeasement by Western governments, must end immediately. Resolute and unequivocal struggle against political Islam and Islamic governments around the world and the boycott of the Islamic regime of Iran is an important condition for providing security for the citizens of the world.
