On 22nd December 2018, workers of a gas supply station in Andimeshk in Khuzestan province, Iran, entered the fourth day of their strike over unpaid wages.
The workers have not been paid for 6 months and have been left with no option but to strike as the employers simply don’t pay.
Not paying workers their wages is widespread in Iran and workers of many industries and institutions struggle to make ends meet.
High prices, inflation, and non-payment of wages has pushed many workers and their families into poverty.
